INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis street artist is sharing a warning for other creators after his artwork was recreated and sold without this permission .

Kwazar Martin's murals cover the city. A popular one on the near west side depicts Indy sports stars Caitlin Clark and Tyrese Haliburton.

Martin finished the mural early 2024 . In November 2025, a friend asked if he had seen his art for sale at the Christmas Gift and Hobby Show.

"And I said, 'no,'" said Martin.

Martin doesn't have any prints of his art. He creates murals and street art for the public to enjoy. When he approached the print sellers about the artwork, he was shocked by the response.

"The guy says, 'I have the artist's permission,'" said Martin. "He didn't know I was the artist."
