LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Fordyce, Conway, and Dumas — all three places that have had a mass violence incident in years past.
During those events, Arkansas State Police (ASP) has stepped in as an assisting agency to help local law enforcement keep those in the community safe.
Now, ASP is starting a new initiative aimed at getting those areas ready before an incident happens or happens again.
State police typically come in and assist agencies are a mass violent incident, especially smaller agencies that might not have as many resources as other agencies.
That’s why ASP officials have said that knowing who to call for resources is key during an emergency situation.
