The roundabout construction that brought the closure of a portion of Business Loop 70 in Columbia has been completed, reopening the road to all traffic.
Missouri Department of Transportation crews closed Business Loop 70 between Hathman Place and Eastland Circle on Nov. 12 for roundabout construction.
The roundabout is now open, MoDOT announced Wednesday. By late 2027, the new roundabout is expected to provide Business Loop 70 direct access to and from eastbound I-70.
This work is part of the first phase of MoDOT's statewide Improve I-70 Program, which will expand the interstate to three lanes in each direction between Columbia and Kingdom City.
The $405 million project also includes new pavement on all three lanes and making upgrades to the interchanges at U.S. 63 and U.S. 54.
