GRETNA, La. —

Five people were detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Wednesday in Gretna.

The people were detained at the Home Depot in Gretna, according to the Gretna Police Department. Advertisement

Gretna police did not make the arrests or file charges.

According to Gretna police, ICE made the arrests and took custody of the people.

It is unclear at this time if the five people taken into custody were in the country legally.
