McLEAN CO., Ky. (WFIE) - McLean County is getting a big chunk of the $4 million in grant money Governor Andy Beshear announced Wednesday to improve water service.
It will be used for the construction of a new water storage tank in McLean County and over 5,000 feet of waterline, connecting the tank to the water system.
The money is coming from Team Kentucky’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
“Clean drinking water is a basic human right,” said Gov. Beshear. “On the day before Thanksgiving, it feels good to give our people some good news. These are projects that will just make life better for so many Kentuckians and make sure our people are taken care of. Happy Thanksgiving, Kentucky.”
