VANCOUVER, Wash. — Police have arrested a hit-and-run suspect that left a man with serious injuries Wednesday night.
Around 8:30 p.m., police responded to the collision at the 3300 block of East 18th Street, where they found a pedestrian who had been struck by a car, which fled the scene. The pedestrian, 46, was transported to an area hospital and remains hospitalized as of Thursday morning, police said.
Police later found the suspect's car in the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex, then arrested its owner, 43-year-old Michael A. Rhynehard. He was booked into Clark County Jail for felony hit-and-run, vehicular assault and DUI.
Police are still investigating.
