A teenager accused of causing a fatal wreck has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of an Uber driver, who he reportedly crashed into while driving more than 100 mph, according to arrest warrants.
Lincoln Chase Wilson, 19, is charged with second-degree murder, felony death by motor vehicle, driving while impaired, felony serious injury by vehicle, reckless driving to endanger, speeding, and several other traffic charges, in the Nov. 9 wreck on Gaston Day School Road in Gastonia.
Wilson is accused of causing the wreck that killed 53-year-old Janice Lopez, who was driving for Uber at the time of the wreck. Lopez's passenger, 34-year-old Sherri Haskins, was critically injured in the wreck. At the time of the collision, Wilson was allegedly driving 108 mph in a 45 mph zone. A
