The Gastonia Police Department is looking for two teenagers who they said fired a gun inside of Eastridge Mall.
According to a press release from the department, the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Dec. 4, after an employee at Hibbett Sports asked the teens to leave the store because they were causing a disturbance.
As the clerk was escorting them out of the store, “one or both (of them) produced a gun and fired two shots into the air and then ran off,” the release said.
No arrests had been made as of noon on Dec. 5.
GPD spokesman Bill McGinty said anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police department at 704-861-8000.
