SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - As the snow falls in Siouxland, the Sioux City Police Department is advising citizens to stay home, if possible.
According to Sioux City Police Sgt. Tom Gill, roads are very slippery and fully covered in snow, resulting in some backed-up traffic.
According to the Sioux City Police Department’s Facebook page, Sioux City officers have reported slick roads and accidents since the snow began.
“Be sure to give yourself plenty of time, drive slowly, and make sure your phone is charged,” Gill said.
Gill says that everyone should stay off the roads unless it is absolutely necessary.
