BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A wetter pattern has started today with light to moderate showers, but another round of rain is expected tomorrow with periods of heavier rain.

TODAY’S FORECAST

As a cold front pushes light to moderate showers across the area, plan for a gloomy and cool Sunday. Rain chances will gradually decrease through the afternoon, although clouds linger into the evening.

MONDAY HEAVY RAIN

Widespread rain returns Monday, mainly in the afternoon and overnight, as an area of low pressure develops along a stalled front in the Gulf.

The heaviest rainfall is expected Monday afternoon through Monday night, where localized totals up to 3″ are possible, raising concerns for localized flooding.
