Louisiana State Police are investigating a crash in Beauregard Parish that killed two Lake Charles women on Friday.
Shortly after 2 p.m. Friday, State Troopers began investigating the two-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 171 and Felice Cutoff Road.
The crash killed 69-year-old Anne Godeaux and 65-year-old Leah Landry. Early investigations revealed that before the crash, Godeaux was driving a 2023 Ford Bronco west on Felice Cutoff Road, while a 2008 Ford F-350 was traveling north on US 171.
For reasons still unknown, police say, the Bronco failed to yield at a stop at the intersection of US 171, entered the path of the approaching F-350, and was struck on the driver’s side.
