AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - The 46th annual Christmas in New England Arts and Craft Show took place at the Augusta Civic Center this weekend, bringing in a variety of local businesses in the region.
“My mom started when I was 10-11 years old, so it’s been going for many years. It started off as just small craft shows, and we’ve grown to over 130 vendors today,” says Show Chairman Steven Taylor.
The craft show is one of many that helps to give local businesses and crafters a platform for customers to stop and shop in time for the holiday season.
“People know it’s right after Thanksgiving, and they decide to come here, maybe before or after going to the mall. They come here for the small business shopping,” says Taylor.
