Two men have been arrested after a man was reportedly punched in the head outside a Yarm bar.

It happened near Macy Browns Cocktail Bar on the High Street on Friday (November 28).

The man fell to the ground and lost consciousness during the incident just before midnight, Cleveland Police said.

The force confirmed two men, aged 26 and 27, were both arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and they were bailed with conditions.

Enquiries are currently underway and officers are appealing for anyone with information to contact the force on 101, quoting reference number 228375.
