The Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office has identified the Kenner man who died in a single vehicle crash last week.

Joseph Armstrong, 26, was fatally injured in the wreck which occurred Nov. 25. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.

Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Clearview Parkway and Jasper Street just before 10:30 p.m.

A pickup truck that had been traveling north on Clearview veered off the roadway and struck a tree, said Capt. Jason Rivarde, spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office.

Armstrong, the truck's driver, was taken to a hospital but died of his injuries.

Investigators aren't sure what caused Armstrong to lose control of the vehicle. Toxicology testing will be performed.
