BIRCH RUN TWP, MI — Three people, including a baby, are hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash in Birch Run Township.

Just after 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, Saginaw County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash site at the intersection of Busch and Maple roads. They determined a 2014 Buick Enclave had been heading northbound on Maple when its 27-year-old female driver disregarded a stop sign at Busch.

A westbound 2007 Ford Econoline van driven by a 57-year-old Saginaw man crashed into the Enclave.

Both vehicles’ drivers suffered critical injuries, seemingly from not wearing restraints, according to Undersheriff Mike Gomez. The Buick driver’s 1-year-old child was, however, in a car seat.
