After nine months behind construction barricades, the Ronald McDonald Dobson House in Mesa is set to welcome families again on Dec. 2, after a $2.7 million renovation that gives parents a respite while their children receive critical medical care.

The home, located on the campus of Banner Children’s at Desert, originally opened in 2014 but a decade of constant use had left it “tired,” said Kerry Schulman, president and CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central and Northern Arizona.
