For the 24th time, New Hampshire ranked as the freest state in North America according to the annual report of the Josiah Bartlett Center for Public Policy (JBC) in concert with Canada’s Fraser Institute.
But JBC President Andrew Cline said some southern and Midwestern states are closing in on New Hampshire’s standing in part because the Granite State ranks near the middle when it comes to labor market freedom.
