Two weeks ago, members of the Knitting Club joined a call with representatives from TREW, a Portland, Oregon, gear company. “How to Draw a Perfect Line,” a short ski film created by the Sun Valley-area club, was one of three films in the running for the grand prize in TREW’s filmmaking project.
The five members of the Knitting Club—Dorothy Wang, Sarah Verst, Kika MacFarlane, Erin Schiano and Anne Marie Deffé—are part of an actual knitting club formed by Wang last fall. Wang had recently moved to Idaho from Oregon to take a job as a product developer and designer for Wild Rye, a Ketchum-based company that designs technical apparel for women.
