As the days grow shorter and the holidays closer, communities across the region are lighting up their towns in festive celebrations.
Carey kicked things off with its tree lighting on Sunday. Keeping things merry and bright, the city also sponsors an annual home light display contest. Visit cityofcarey.org to learn more.
Moving up into the valley, Ketchum’s annual tree lighting will take place on Wednesday. The city is encouraging “residents, visitors and revelers of all ages” to dress warmly and bring their holiday spirit.
Festivities will start at 4:30 p.m. and go until 6:30 p.m. in Ketchum Town Square. Santa Claus will arrive around 5 p.m. on a Ketchum Fire District fire truck for his meet and greet and photos, and to hear what kids are wishing for this holiday season.
