OTTAWA COUNTY, MI – A 47-year-old man was hospitalized Thursday morning, Dec. 4, after a head-on crash, Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies said.
The man suffered serious injuries, but police say they are not considered life-threatening.
A crash was reported around 7:17 a.m. in Blendon Township. Police said a 31-year-old Hudsonville man was driving a Jeep Wrangler east on Port Sheldon Street when he lost control of the vehicle.
The Jeep crossed the center line of Port Sheldon Street and hit a Chevy Impala head-on, police said.
The 47-year-old Hudsonville man driving the Impala was pinned in his vehicle. Blendon Township firefighters extricated him, and he was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.
Police said the 31-year-old man was not injured in the crash.
