Police have been granted more time to question a suspect in a murder probe.
On Tuesday, police officers arrived at a property in Lord's Croft Lane, in Haverhill, just after 7.50pm.
The force was called by the ambulance service and a man, aged in his 50s, was initially treated for serious injuries but died a short time later.
A 61-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder, and now will be questioned for a further 26 hours, police confirmed.
On Thursday morning, detectives made an application for a warrant of further detention at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court.
The order was granted and will now expire just after 12.30pm on Friday.
The man’s death is currently unexplained but is being treated as suspicious.
A Home Office post-mortem examination is due to take place
