James Madison pulled away late for a 31-14 victory over Troy in the Sun Belt Conference championship game on Friday night in Harrisonburg, Va.
The Trojans (8-5) kept it close most of the night before the Dukes (12-1) scored twice in the final 4:11 to pull away. James Madison ravaged Troy’s offense for eight sacks, 14 tackles for loss and four quarterback hurries, knocking Trojans quarterback Goose Crowder from the game with an ankle injury in the third quarter and scoring a defensive touchdown to ice the victory in the final minutes.
