HS2 contractors are set to face questions over the "disgraceful" amount of litter – including bottles filled with urine – collected from the A46 in Warwickshire .
Councillor Richard Dickson (Lib Dem, Kenilworth St John's) this week informed Warwick District Council, the authority responsible for litter in the area, that a staggering 61,900 kilos of rubbish was removed from the dual carriageway and its surroundings across just two collections in March and October.
Having helped out himself, Cllr Dickson confirmed he had come across "a lot of bottles of green water" and added that workers had reported a "notable increase" in waste during works by HS2 and Balfour Beatty Vinci.
