GALVESTON
The Department of Veterans Affairs is building an 8,000‑square-foot outpatient clinic at the Piazza Blanca shopping center, 500 Seawall Blvd., and aims to open to the public in January, officials said.
The facility, built inside a former Bahama Buck’s, will replace the current clinic at 3828 Ave. N., whose lease is expiring, Lindsey Crain, Interim Medical Center Director of the Michael DeBakey VA Medical Center, said. The new clinic will offer the same services, including primary care, mental health care and phlebotomy, in a newer facility with updated amenities and improved views.
