A major regeneration scheme to transform part of Salford is moving ahead. Construction work is taking place to build 485 new homes in Pendleton off Churchill Way, in a neighbourhood named Phoenix Quarter and delivered by Lovell Together.
It will create a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments, alongside two, three, and four-bedroom townhouses, ranging from two to three storeys. Bosses behind the project said 30 per cent will be designated as affordable homes for shared ownership and rent, and the designs include more than 140 properties for people aged 55 and above.
Work will also see the redevelopment of Clarendon Park, with a multi-use games area, skatepark, and play areas. The first residents are set to move into the new homes by the end of the year. The properties have
