LECLAIRE, Iowa (KWQC) - Holiday fun is underway in LeClaire.
Christmas in LeClaire is being held this weekend on Saturday and Sunday and features lots of kids activities, an ugly sweater contest, 5k, horse drawn wagon rides, and a light-up parade to usher in the season.
It’s an event that draws in people from near and far.
“We’ve been up to LeClaire before, but never at Christmas time like this,” said Tom and Pam Best. “So, we just thought it’d be kind of fun to come up here and do a little shopping and enjoy the Christmas spirit.”
Shops in the area hope that the Christmas in LeClaire event will help them make up for last weekend when they had to close because of a snowstorm on Small Business Saturday .
