KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Police responded to an unusual hit-and-run crash Saturday night after the suspect did not drive away from the scene, but was picked up.
According to the Kansas City Police Department, at about 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 6, a white Toyota Prius was turning left onto Euclid Avenue from eastbound 43rd Street.
As the Prius turned, a white Ford Edge driving in the same direction crossed the double yellow line into the wrong direction of 43rd Street in an attempt to try and speed past it. The Ford was unsuccessful and hit the Prius, sending itself off the left side of the road.
The Ford hit a wooden light pole and a metal sign before overturning and coming to a stop.
KCPD said the Ford’s driver and three passengers under the age of 18 were picked up by someone else and left
