OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. (WFSB) - A firefighter was honored for decades of service at a special dinner held on Sunday.
Wayne Wysocki, past chief of Old Saybrook Fire Company 1, is one of only six people ever to serve in the fire department for fifty years.
In 1983, he became fire chief at the age of 25, making him the youngest person ever to assume that role in Old Saybrook.
State Representative Devin Carney presented Wysocki with a citation from the Connecticut General Assembly.
