Thailand has unleashed a wave of airstrikes along its contested border with Cambodia, with both Asian neighbours pointing fingers over who fired the opening shots after a US-brokered deal brought several months of calm.

Relations between the pair are deteriorating once again, with a ceasefire pact inked by both nations in October now appearing to be in tatters.
