CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A Cedar Rapids man is speaking out after he said a truck crashed into his yard Sunday night and hit his vehicle, leaving thousands of dollars of damage.
Daniel Morris was in the kitchen of his home in the 300 block of 19th Street Southeast when he heard a loud thump, and looked out his front door to see his 1999 Chevy Suburban turned sideways in his lawn.
Morris said he’s put thousands of dollars to keep the quarter-century old truck running. He hopes insurance will pay for the estimated $5,000 in damages.
“It’s a big, you know, it’s a suburban. It’s the biggest one they got,” Morris said. “That thing just turned, I mean, I pulled it in the driveway and they just turned it all the way sideways. I don’t know how they could do anything to that thing.”
