McDonald's has made a U-turn regarding one of its products - less than a year after a change was originally instated.
Back in January, the fast-food chain decided it was binning off plastic lids on hot drink cups, in exchange for a moulded fibre alternative, in the hopes of boosting its eco-friendliness even more.
However, it appears as though McDonald's bosses have decided to pull the scheme, due to customer feedback which slammed the lids.
A staff member told the Sun : “The paper lids weren’t secure enough and they were falling off while people were drinking — meaning they got burned and covered in coffee.”
