NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — North Charleston Police say a Charleston man is facing charges following a Friday night traffic stop.
Dennis Anthony Jr., 25, is charged with two counts of receiving stolen goods and one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, jail records state.
A judge set bond at a total of $10,000 for the three charges.
Police say they stopped the car Anthony was driving at around 6:15 p.m. Friday in the area of the Chicora Arms Apartments after they saw him commit “several traffic violations.”
Officers removed him from the vehicle when he refused to exit, police said in a release.
During that encounter, police detected the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle and Anthony told them there were two guns in the vehicle, the release states.
