AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - A drug trafficker whose behavior prosecutors described as “irresponsible and negligent” is heading to prison.
Tavares Skipper, 37, received a sentence Monday of nine to 13.5 years in prison on charges of trafficking cocaine and endangering children.
Summit County prosecutors say Skipper pleaded guilty to the charges in October.
But according to prosecutors, he was already on community control for earlier drug convictions when this latest case ended up in court.
According to prosecutors, Akron police arrested Akron back in March after going to his home for a search warrant.
He tried to get away but was pulled over in a traffic stop, prosecutors say.
