DALLAS — With the FIFA World Cup coming to North Texas this summer, some DFW area homeowners are gearing up to cash in by opening their doors to international soccer fans.

Andy Najjar, a longtime entrepreneur in Oak Cliff, has transformed part of his home into a short-term rental, leaning into the global celebration he expects the tournament to bring.

“For the World Cup, it’s going to be a cultural experience,” Najjar said. "I am very excited."

Najjar launched his Airbnb in Dallas three years ago and says hosting has been both financially and personally rewarding.
