A much-anticipated automated all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant has arrived in Harrisburg.
Shinjuku Station Revolving Sushi Bar opened on Dec. 1 at 4263 Union Deposit Road at the Point Shopping Center in Lower Paxton Township.
“Shinjuku was born from a passion to redefine sushi dining, crafting a space where people can enjoy the freshest sushi in a lively, fun environment,” according to the website.
The restaurant is advertising a soft opening , with a grand opening date to be announced.
Shinjuku, which takes its name from a Tokyo rail station, uses robots and miniature bullet trains with a constantly rotating conveyor belt to deliver sushi to diners.
The conveyor belt concept originated in Japan in the 1950s and has grown in popularity in the United States in recent years.
