MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A man is facing charges, accused of leaving a woman paralyzed after a shooting in bed.
Chris Carpunky, 29, of Maryland Heights, is charged with second-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action in the shooting that happened on Dec. 2.
Court documents state the victim was restrained on a bed with heavy-duty tape when Carpunky shot her. The gun used in the shooting was seized.
The victim was taken to a hospital and was described in court documents as unconscious and paralyzed.
Carpunky is being held on a $150,000 cash-only bond.
