BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - A recent forecasted 12 percent increase in property taxes has many Vermonters worried about the cost of schools, as state leaders once again grapple with how to deliver quality, affordable education for Vermont kids.

With top Democrats and Governor Phil Scott doubling down on controversial reforms aimed at reducing costs , the issue lawmakers are hoping to solve can be explained through a simple metaphor. Reporter Calvin Cutler takes us to lunch.
