LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Lincoln woman accused in the death of her infant was found not competent for trial on Tuesday.
According to court documents, 29-year-old Tanya Greenwood, who was charged with intentional child abuse that resulted in death, was found not competent. She will be placed at the Lincoln Region Center and is awaiting a review hearing.
On the morning of Aug. 14, 36-year-old Ryan Greenwood called 911 from the couple’s apartment near 27th Street and Woods Boulevard to report that his infant daughter was dead.
Police said both Ryan and his wife, Tanya, were home when the baby died.
Ryan told officers he had been “playing rough” the day before with the infant, who then cried uncontrollably. He said he gave her a bottle and put her to bed late that night. Hours later, Tanya
