SAUGERTIES – In response to concerns from residents and members of the community, the Saugerties Police Department has initiated a traffic enforcement campaign to enhance roadway safety.
The campaign aims to increase police presence on the roads and focus on specific violations that pose a risk to the community.
The targeted violations include passing a stopped school bus, speeding, stop sign violations, red light violations, and improper passing.
The police goal is to create safer roadways for all through a combination of targeted high-visibility enforcement and public education. By raising awareness about these critical safety issues, the department hopes to deter dangerous behaviors and promote a culture of responsible driving.
