Residents in West Lothian have been warned of potential travel disruption, with a yellow weather warning in place until 11.59pm on Sunday, December 14. Periods of heavy rain in the area could lead to flooding, according to The Met Office.

The warning is in place from midday on Saturday, December 13. Locals have been urged to plan ahead with journeys expected to take longer, with interruption to power and other services 'likely'.

Drivers were urged to check road conditions, with passengers travelling by bus or train told to check ahead.
