A mum who claims she was starved by her husband has welcomed a new national helpline for victims of economic abuse.
Pat Feetham is rebuilding her life after separating from husband John, who she says financially exploited her during Covid and left her in eye-watering debt.
The mum of two, from Dumfries, has backed the Purple Phone, launched last week by the Scottish Government – a helpline for victims of economic abuse.
Run by charity Financially Included, it offers guidance on safe bank accounts, benefits and coerced debt – where someone has been forced to take on debt by a partner.
