FAIRMONT — Republican budget cuts will take away an in-person option for people who need help signing up for health coverage through the Affordable Care Act in September.

The grant-funded WV Navigator program provides free health care insurance enrollment assistance to people who are uninsured. The program sent an email to clients on Monday announcing that substantial budget cuts would reduce health enrollment assistance services. As a result, the program is closing four of its five offices around the state, including one in Fairmont.
