TOWN OF CAMPBELL, N.Y. (WETM) — Emergency crews from numerous departments were called to a destructive structure fire Tuesday afternoon in the Town of Campbell.

Reports of a structure fire at a home located at 9168 Victory Highway came in around 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug 26. Crews from Painted Post, Campbell, and Coopers Plains were called to tend to the fire, according to an 18 News reporter at the scene.

The building was destroyed, and the fire has since been put out, leaving only charred wood remaining, the 18 News reporter said. The main house appeared to be untouched, according to the 18 News reporter.

A portion of Victory Highway was shut down near the residence as of 1:50 p.m. while crews worked to put out any remaining hotspots.
