RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A popular fashion and jewelry chain plans to close hundreds of stores nationwide, including three in central North Carolina.

Claire’s revealed in a court filing this week that over 290 locations will close as the retailer navigates Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The filing lists the stores located at Crossroads Plaza in Cary, Park West Village in Morrisville, as well as Golden East Crossing in Rocky Mount. The exact timeline for these closings is unknown at this time.

The move follows Claire’s bankruptcy filing earlier this month, when the chain signaled it might need to close more than 1,100 stores if a buyer didn’t emerge.
