JAMESTOWN, Tenn. (WATE) — Fentress County Sheriff Michael Reagon could face decertification after a state investigator found he had another employee complete several online training courses for him.
The Tennessee Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission, the state body that enforces standards and training for all local law enforcement officers, began an investigation in January after receiving a complaint about potentially falsified training records.
POST standards require that officers complete 40 hours of in-service training each year.
