CINCINNATI, Ohio — The Bengals officially signed veteran guard Dalton Risner on Thursday .

Risner is entering his seventh NFL season after playing four seasons for the Broncos and the last two with the Vikings. He worked out for the Bengals earlier this month and head coach Zac Taylor was impressed by his enthusiasm.

“He was gung ho to do it. Some guys probably would have said, ‘No, I’m not doing that. You can sign me or not,’” Taylor explained to reporters in his Thursday press conference. “And he was. He was kind of over the top. Like, I want to do this, and if you want me to run a 40, I’ll run a 40.”
