Mike Argabright, 17th District State Senator, and Mark Schreiber, 60th District State Representative, sat down with constituents Thursday evening during a town hall.

Located at the Memorial Union, the gathering was hosted by Loud Light, a Kansas voting advocacy nonprofit that seeks to increase civic engagement among underrepresented groups and young people.

Ashley Balza, Wichita and Emporia Community Organizer, began the night by asking questions on government transparency, recent federal and state issues, and the legislator's work at the state level. The rest of the night was spent answering questions from the crowd. Around 20 constituents, while two individuals protested the organizers.

Both Argabright and Schreiber expressed support for engaging with voters and keeping them informed.
