Mel’s Drive-In has opened on Second Avenue.

The 152 Second Ave. N site, which was previously occupied by B.B. King’s Blues Club, is the first location outside of California, the company confirmed to the Post in August 2024 .

Mel’s was founded in 1947 and has eight locations in Los Angeles and San Francisco. It is known for being featured in the 1973 film, "American Graffiti." The diner serves American cuisine, breakfast foods and milkshakes as well as lighter options including salads, juices and smoothies.

Brothers Colton and Chasen Weiss, partners in the company and grandsons of co-founder Mel Weiss, are now based in Nashville.
