ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - An 11-year-old boy is recovering in the hospital after getting injured in a shooting in Gwinnett County on Sunday, according to police.
The shooting happened around 7 p.m. in the 2500 block of Gwinn Dr. NW, according to police.
According to police, the boy was shot by a 15-year-old boy in the home. Adults were home at the time of the incident, according to police.
The 11-year-old is in stable condition and expected to recover.
“We do believe that this is isolated incident,” said Sergeant Jennifer Richter of Gwinnett County Police. “We don’t have anyone outstanding. At this point, we are just trying to put all the pieces together.”
An investigation is ongoing.
