QUINCY (WGEM) - Cars old and new and of different make and model lines the Illinois Veterans Home for about 8 hours Sunday.
The event is held by Tri-State Lugnuts Car Club, and various years of makes and models lined up at the vets home from 9am to 4pm
Participants paid a registration fee to show their cars. Three trophies are given out per class, with a special veterans choice award, where the veterans pick cars and compile that information to conclude their pick.
Along with the show, the event also had vendors and raffles for attendees to enjoy.
“It’s a way for us to give back to our veterans, who have sacrificed so much for us,” said Dan Starnes, president of Tri-State Lugnuts Car Club. “It’s just our little way of helping them.“
